There isn’t one word to describe this fiery girl. She has a dark appearance to her, seeming to know the world without truly knowing. She has a tendency to be very moody and believes no one’s past can compare up to her own. That no one can say they have had it harder then she has, and just won’t put up for any complaining, if anyone was going to complain and whine, it was going to be her because she, of everyone in this world deserved it. She is very strong headed, saying what she wants, how she wants and isn’t one to change her mind after she decided on it. She’s dark without being dark, and light without being a light. She can be hopeful then other times she can be as negative as the last person, but her parents optimism has never been forgotten and she finds her self constantly reminding her self not to forget them or their love. And for that time will be playful, spirited and almost innocent.
History:
She was born into one of those happily in love families. Her mother was lead mare of Paradise Island, her father lead stallion, of course. Newly coupled, still all kisses, hugs, love. Everything was perfect, everyday even on the worst of days was the perfect day. No matter what happened, no matter what life threw at them they always looked at it with a positive view. How it disgusted her. Everyday was the same thing, they were the same thing, happy, happy, happy. All sunshine and butter cups! Didn’t they see? She didn’t belong with them, or at least that day she didn’t. It was one of those days where she just felt like there was something more then the warm sands, sunshine and smiling faces all the time. So she left one day, not to leave, no as much as she felt out of place at her home she loved her father, loved her mother, they were her family were they not? She only planned to meet different people, learn more about the other world. Because the place she was born into it was black or white, good or bad and she wanted greys and blues and yellows, wanted the world. Wanted to see and know it all, and all she knew was white. So there she was where the evils of the land could come, the lights of the land could come and the neutrals of the land could come. And she was full of wonder, to see those who were worn down by life, those that were depressed, those that truly were evil. It was all new, and she felt so alive. Innocent eyes looked around the land just engulfing every smell, every taste, every emotion and feel when he came along. A great, mighty gypsy vanner, he was god, he was strength and he saw a young, innocent pony in the wrong place without her daddy’s protection. He plucked her out of that place and herded her off into his lands, and boy, it was nothing like home. It was dirty, it was dark and it was rock. With little vegetation, little water, little everything, it was just a land of rock, rock walls, rock ground, rock hills. She had wanted to see the world, well she was seeing it. She was kept there, trapped, stolen from her life and abused. She had told him, told this mighty gypsy vanner, her dad was going to get her out of this mess. He was going to show this great I’m so great king who was boss. And he, this black and white horse laughed at her and left her be, for months. She was alone, snubbed by the other mares, she wasn’t dark like they were. They were all small demon spans who laughed and poked fun at her before trotting away. And Destiny's Rose slowly began to rot, her spirit dieing. Where was daddy? Then one day the great stallion came around again, and they fought. Oh, how they fought, he may have stolen her life away from her but she still had her spirit, her pride. She fought for her self, he fought for the fun of it, she fought for her father, he fought to teach her the world wasn’t black and white. He made fun her name, said it made no sense, Destiny’s Rose? He would snort and laugh at her until one day he gave her a new name, for her new life, Thorn. She accepted this new part of her life but still hung on to her father, and consistently reminded Macbeth, the gypsy vanner, that he was going to come. A year past and she matured out, became a woman instead of a girl and he took that time to spread his blood out to the world. Raping her, though she did put up a fight, which left a permanent limp and a horse print on her right thigh. For her little appaloosa self was no match against the strong might of the warrior stallion for the dark queen. A few months later she had grown closer to Macbeth, for he was her life, now. That rock of a land was her home now, and though her mind expanded, tainted due to his presidents in pursuing her she refused to talk to the other mares, never had a true conversation with them. And yet she was finding her self falling in love with him, day by day. A charm that hadn’t been there before seeming to appear. And though she would never openly admit it she lived her days only waiting to see him, her father wasn’t coming any more. Then their child was born, a pretty mix of the two, a sweet little baby girl, named Kalika. She was heavenly, pure beauty wrapped up in a small child. And her shift was just as beautiful a young pinto with the eyes of her mother and the colour pattern of her father. Surely she was a gift from god, something bright and beautiful in that disgusting land. But Akina’s joy was soon faded when Macbeth sent their child to the queen. As if Akina didn’t have a choice where her daughter went, as if she didn’t exist. She shunned him out for a long time after that, searching for her daughter, but it seemed Macbeth had well planned this all, Kalika was never found. By the time she came around to her senses again and returned to Macbeth the herd was falling apart. He spoke sweet words to her, and she melted in his embrace, promoted to lead mare. But only then, once she had openly admitted to falling for a guy that was totally against her beliefs, against what she was raised to be did everything truly start falling apart. Macbeth starting having more and more duties for the queen to preform, and would be gone for long periods of times. The mares, no longer believing the great gypsy vanner was capable of protecting them, taking care of them, left leaving little Thorn alone once again.
Example Post:
Warm and sweet the sun kissed her eyes awake, coaxing her from her dreams and drawing forward a new day. Such a beautiful day, the sun melting over the hills far away. Birds swung lazily in the sky, and the dangers of night slowly melted into the shadows once more. Everything was still green, everything still fresh and new from spring. What a nice, small paradise she had found. Shaking that sleep blanket that had snuggled across her mind off she pulled forward within only a few minutes of awaking to explore the small miniature heaven she had found. Not a cloud in the sky, not a worry in her otherwise empty mind. Eyes that were soften from years of pain sucked in everything, pinned out the small rabbit that darted to his home as the coyote stopped it's hunt to glare at the giant mass of the mare. Interrupting his hunt! Pfft! And she only snorted at the canine, to watch him skitter off into the prairie.
