Karma the good and the bad
The mare cantered through the valley. Her powerful hindquarters pushing her as she ran. How I love the wind on my face! she thought to herself as she cantered onward. Her auds were perked forward as she broke into full gallop. She looked like a stock horse so she did not run incredibly fast. she ran fast enough to please herself. I wonder if there is another equine anywher around in this grand stretch of land. she thought to her self. She slowed to a trot and then a walk. She looked around the valley where she was. She loved the veiw. She bent her head down to graze swishing her tail in the slight breeze that was blowing at the moment. She was waiting for someone to come along. She would preffer a stallion to come along, but until anyone did she just decided to continue to graze.

Daku of the sand
The life within the land was almost scary to one whom had lived years on their own, within a land where the only plant life was restricted to small quadrants and most creatures decided to remain within the more reliable terrains. Nares flares lightly as the scent of unrestricted water reached the beast, along with the sweet scent of young grasses which had sprouted from the freshly melted snow. The scents of spring here were exciting, so much different to the scent of damp earth that rose in his land and the earth here seemed to make his hooves spring from the grass unlike the soft sand that sucked at his hooves whenever he dared to leave the oasis. The muscles in the beasts legs twitched under the black hairs, the urge to run pumping through his veins. It reminded him of his homeland... just before the round up.
A strong breath was pushed past his nares, creating a cloud of mist before his dark mask. He had repressed those memories for so long, using his time to explore new lands but now that seemed to be losing his interest. He had been away from others for so long he was beginning to think that he was the only equine left in these lands though those silly thoughts of abandonment just sprouted from the fact he hadn't left his desert like home for a while now. He craned his nape to sniff at the fresh vegetation below him, small droplets of dew sticking to his velvety muzzle. The water was so fresh he felt he was catching the first snow flakes of winter upon his tongue. He licked experimentally at the emerald blades, collecting the dew thirstily. If there were going to be equines anywhere he guessed they would be here, but who knew? He had been absent from social interactions for so long that maybe they had migrated elsewhere or something. No, what was he thinking? His kind didn't migrate!...Did they? He stared into the the trees before him, zoning off into his mind to ponder his abnormal philosophical thoughts.
A sound abruptly pulled him out of his thoughts, audits twitching as they focused upon it. It sounded like the pounding of hooves, another moving closer at a fast speed. His body tensed, skull raising as he peered past the cluster of foliage shielding him from the other. The spotted hue of the other stood out vibrantly from the darker surroundings, grasping the beasts attention. He took an unsure step forth, the leaves brushing against his blue hued neck, placing glittering droplets upon his mane like small diamonds. His limp wasn't very obvious, well it wasn't to him anyway since he had grown with it though to another it could possibly be picked out instantly, he was unsure. Audits were perked in a friendly and curious manner as he stopped just out of the trees. He wasn't sure how the other would react to his presence, or even if they had become aware of him yet.

Karma continued to graze when she felt the winds shift. She turned her head to the wind. She whiffed it. The new breeze carried many scents. In her head she sifted through what she caught with the wind. Rabbit, fox, flower blossoms, bird, fresh grass, equine, coyote. Wait! Equine. She looked around to see if she could detect the source of the scent of the equine she had just scented. Her audits flicked about as she tried to see if there were any sounds of equine life near by. the wind grew still once again. I was quiet with the exception of a few robins chattering away in an oak tree nearby. She strained trying to detect the faintest mmmovment. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. Thats what she heard. She knew tht this other equine was out there and not that far from her either.
She picked up her daggers and moved into a western jog as she went to go search for the equine. She flicked her tail letting her scent out. A vix or a stag would be able to smell it and comme find her if and when they did. She continued searching around the area for ten or so momre minutes. She stuck her velvet maw into the air once again as she tested the air. She caught that scent again. It had to be closer for now she could tell that it was a stag that was near her. She let out a whinny to whom ever was there at the moment. She could only hope that they were friendly. She continued her search. She flicked her audits once again. Her dark chocolate optics searched the landscape. Finmally she detected something in the distance. She loped up to what she had seen. when she was ten meters away from the other equine's form she called out. "Hello?"

Daku of the sand
The beasts eyes were almost pitch black in the shadows he stood under, dancing along the ground like water below his hooves. His cloak appeared a dark grey with bay markings and a ebon skull, the speckles of light filtering through the canopy above him adding to his unique visual illusion, making small gold dots flicker upon his hide. Those dark eyes never left the form of the lighter, watching with curiosity as she seemed to pick up his presence. For a moment she looked panicked, as though she were about to flee the possible encounter though as she began to move with each unique radar searching he knew their presences will soon come to interact.
His harks flickered forth as her tunes reached him, registering within his mind as a call to present himself. For a moment he felt a slight insecurity within himself, he was unsure whether any social interactions were wise for him at this point of time. He couldn’t think back to the last time he had met another of his species without some bad omen sending the situation hurtling into a hellish void but he was dragged prematurely from his pondering as words were created with her vocals. The distance between the two would require voices to be raised, possibly attracting the attention of any creature around, which the beast himself was uncomfortable with due to his somewhat new exploration of this land and the unknown predators that could be lurking nearby.
If he were to move forth to create a quieter conversation then his slight ‘disability’ may be presented and possibly picked upon by the other if their intentions were not positive though he knew quite well how to defend himself and would rather fight one other of his kind than a pack of predators if need be.
Dark hooves moved slowly below him, strong pillars carrying him forward with only a slight limp visible until he crossed the line of shadow to light and his blue grulla hide was presented, still slightly rough from his shedding winter coat. At one instant his eyes flash a vibrant blue as the sun directly hit them though a slight turn of his head hid the colouration once more as he stood with his back to the light, just outside a respectable distance between them. ”G’day. I’m sorry if my presence interrupted your peace” His voice was rough and cracked lightly, signifying its limited usage.
